H.264: This is a very efficient codec that will produce small file sizes. On modern Macs with built-in hardware video compression capabilities, this will be fast to compress, but the number of cameras that can be compressed by hardware will vary between Mac models. On older Macs without hardware video compression capabilities, this uses significant CPU time to compress. Use this option if you need SecuritySpy to create MP4 movie files that play back in web browsers.
In addition to selecting areas of the image we want the motion sensor to ignore, we can customise what happens when motion is detected.

Can SecuritySpy run before login on Mac OS X?
Displays the amount of motion currently in the video image. This is done by analyzing the image in software (no special hardware is required). Click within this bar to change the threshold value - when the camera is in active mode this threshold value determines when to capture video and still images, and when to perform actions (for example sounding an alarm, sending an email etc).
Most routers have a built-in switch, in order to provide multiple Ethernet ports. For small networks this may suffice, but for larger more demanding applications a separate switch is normally requried to provide faster connectivity between more devices than can be supported by the router alone.
